MSCA 30 in Romania

Celebrating 30 years of Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions and their role in supporting excellent research, international mobility, training, and career development across Europe. In Romania, MSCA has opened new opportunities for researchers, institutions, and organisations to connect with European research networks and strengthen their international profile.

About MSCA 30

Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions mark 30 years of supporting researchers at all stages of their careers. Since their launch, MSCA have become one of the European Union’s flagship programmes for doctoral education, postdoctoral training, staff exchanges, and the development of research and innovation skills.

Through MSCA, researchers gain access to international, interdisciplinary, and intersectoral experiences, while organisations strengthen their capacity to attract talent, build partnerships, and contribute to excellent science.

In Romania, MSCA 30 is an opportunity to celebrate the participation of Romanian researchers and institutions in the programme, to showcase success stories, and to encourage new applicants to explore the opportunities offered by Horizon Europe.

NCP@UEFISCDI celebrates 30 years of Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions

On 22 April 2026, NCP@UEFISCDI organised the online event 30 Years of MSCA: Inspiring Romanian Researchers, dedicated to marking three decades of Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions and highlighting their impact on research careers, mobility, training, and international cooperation.

The event brought together representatives of the European Commission, the National Authority for Research, MSCA National Contact Points, Romanian beneficiaries, supervisors, alumni, and researchers involved in MSCA projects. The programme included an overview of the latest MSCA developments for 2026-2027.
