CBE JU Info Day in Romania 2025

We are delighted to invite you to the CBE JU Info Day in Romania 2025, a key event dedicated to exploring the future of the bioeconomy and the circular economy in Europe and Romania.

Organised in collaboration with the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) and the Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC), this Info Day brings together key stakeholders to explore funding, innovation, and collaboration in the circular and bio-based economy.

Event Format:

1.     On-Site Experience at PROMATERIS (morning of 15 May)

Location: PROMATERIS headquarters (Address: Șos. București – Târgoviște Nr. 1, Buftea, Ilfov, România)

The event will start with a guided visit to PROMATERIS, a company widely regarded as a Romanian model of best practice in both the bioeconomy and the circular economy.

Please note:

• Transportation to the PROMATERIS site will be organised individually by each participant.

• The exact time of the visit will be announced at a later date.

2.     Main event – CBE JU Info Day in Romania (midday to afternoon) - English language

The core part of the Info Day will be hosted at the Faculty of Biotechnologies, within the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest (USAMVB), and will feature:

• Plenary sessions with representatives from CBE JU, BIC, and national stakeholders;

• Thematic panels on funding opportunities, research priorities, and bio-based innovation;

• Sessions highlighting national perspectives and progress in the bioeconomy, including good practices and success stories from Romania;

• Networking and matchmaking opportunities for participants from research, industry, and the public sector.
